Tony Dultz's PMC Unpaved
This is my Why
I'm a proud participant in PMC Unpaved, an off-road cycling fundraiser to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund. The inaugural PMC Unpaved - a spoke in the wheel of the Pan-Mass Challenge's yearly fundraising campaign - is October 1, 2022
This fall, I will be riding and fundraising to bring us Closer by the Mile to a cure for cancer. 100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to innovative cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber, one of the world's premier cancer centers dedicated to advancing cancer research and care. Cancer has affected me throughout my life. I have watched people around me put up courageous battles in the fight for their lives against this disease. I lost my father to cancer in 1992 when I was 19. His time was very quick and we barely had time to say goodbye. My step-father passed to cancer in 2006. This past year, I watched as my brother-in-law's fight ended
and lost his battle with cancer. I witnessed his family, my sister and their son, go through the pains of supporting their loved one and what that stress is like. There are far too many more people around me that have experienced the same or are currently in remission. I am riding in memory of those who lost their battle, those that are fighting for their lives and for those who have kicked cancer's ass.
Please help me reach my goal - every donation makes a difference.
